MEMBER VISIT: Old Friends Meet

I recently had the pleasure of visiting our friends at the William C. Jason Library at Delaware State University, and with me along for the ride was Beth Scheinfeld.  Beth is known to a lot of people in the Mid-Atlantic region going back to the PALINET days and so many have never met her in person, but have received any amount of help and hand-holding from Beth...in fact, I'm often asked while on the road, "Is Beth still there?".  Well she is, and last Wednesday, I got the chance to prove it to Beverly Charlot and Dr. Rebecca Batson.  It was great to see Beverly and Beth meet in person for the first time, and I especially enjoyed that Beverly didn't know Beth would be coming with me.

The library at DSU is up to some interesting things regarding information literacy training and has incorporated it into their Library Research subject guide (powered by LibGuides).  Keep your eyes peeled for a possible upcoming webinar discussion they may treat us to about how and why they put this guide together and how they measure and use the resulting metrics.
